Transaction in Own Shares 

Caledonia Investments plc ("Caledonia") announces that on 19 February 2009 it purchased 75,000 of its own ordinary shares of 5p each at a price of 1230p per share. These shares are to be held in treasury.

Following the purchase, Caledonia holds 502,229 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has a total of 58,292,552 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding treasury shares) in issue.
