TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES
Close Brothers Group plc ('the Company') announces that on 13 May 2009 it transferred 4,326 ordinary shares of 25 pence each from treasury to participants in its employee share plans. The transfer price was 586 pence.
Following the transfer of these shares, the Company holds 5,641,168 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 143,831,998 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
