Transaction in Own Shares

 

The Company announces that on 4th December 2008 it purchased 116,171 of its ordinary shares at a price of 537.45 pence per share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. 

 

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 1,108,242 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 287,417,623.
