Diageo PLC21 February 2005 Diageo plc announces that it has today purchased through Cazenove & Co. Ltd500,000 ordinary shares at a price of 757.7335 pence per share. The purchasedshares will all be held as treasury shares. Following the above purchase, Diageo plc holds 41,080,000 ordinary sharesas treasury shares.
