Transaction in own shares

Man Group plc announces that on 17 November 2011 it purchased for cancellation 2,790,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 140.1856 pence per ordinary share.

Following this cancellation the total number of ordinary shares in issue will be 1,860,350,131. The Company does not hold any shares in Treasury.
