Howden Joinery Group Plc (the "Company") announces that on 4 April 2016 it purchased through Numis Securities Ltd the following number of its ordinary shares for cancellation at an average price of 477.49p per share:

Highest purchase price paid per share: | 481.00p |
Lowest purchase price paid per share: | 474.30p |
Following the above transaction, the Company has 638,001,973 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) and 10,828,842 ordinary shares in treasury.
