Burberry Group PLC15 March 2005 BURBERRY GROUP PLC: Transaction in Own Shares Burberry Group plc ("the Company") announces that on 15 March 2005 it purchased58,004 of its ordinary shares of 0.05p each ("Shares") for cancellation. Ofthese Shares, 20,000 were purchased on-market from Merrill Lynch at a price of410 pence per Share and 38,004 were purchased off-market directly from GUSHoldings Limited also at a price of 410 pence per Share in accordance with theAgreement dated 20 December 2004 between the Company and GUS plc approved by theCompany's shareholders on 20 December 2004.
