BP p.l.c. announces that on 20 June 2008, it purchased for cancellation 1,323,000 ordinary shares at prices between 563.50 pence and 575.00 pence per share.

Following the above transaction BP p.l.c. holds 1,905,600,388 ordinary shares in Treasury, and has 18,807,999,895 ordinary shares in issue (excluding Treasury shares).
