Man Group plc announces that on 24 February 2012 it purchased for cancellation 533,309 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 131.7708 pence per ordinary share.

Following this cancellation the total number of ordinary shares in issue will be 1,818,457,084.

The Company does not hold any shares in Treasury.
