IMI PLC: Transaction in own shares

IMI PLC announces that on 30 May 2013 it purchased through J.P. Morgan Securities plc 80,000 ordinary shares of 25 pence each, at an average price of 1324.6415 pence per share. The highest and lowest prices paid for these shares were 1333.5 pence per share and 1314 pence per share respectively. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, IMI PLC holds 22,539,945 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) is 318,153,846.
