Diageo PLC03 February 2006 Diageo plc announces that it has today purchased through Credit SuisseSecurities (Europe) Limited 600,000 ordinary shares at a price of 851.12 penceper share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. Following the above purchase, Diageo plc holds 186,759,500 ordinary shares astreasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding sharesheld as treasury shares) is 2,863,903,625.
