Diageo PLC26 April 2005 Diageo plc announces that it has today purchased through CSFB Europe Ltd 600,000ordinary shares at a price of 773.42 pence per share. The purchased shares willall be held as treasury shares. Following the above purchase, Diageo plc holds 71,680,000 ordinary shares astreasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding sharesheld as treasury shares) is 2,978,362,652.
