Enterprise Inns PLC05 January 2007 5 January 2007 Enterprise Inns plc - Transaction in Own Shares Enterprise Inns plc announces that it has today purchased for cancellation300,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 1326.58 pence per ordinaryshare. The highest price paid was 1332 pence per share and the lowest price paid was1323 pence per share. Following the above purchase the total number of ordinary shares in issue andthe total voting rights (pursuant to transitional provision 6 of theTransparency Directive) in the Company (excluding shares held in treasury) is292,192,122. Of these 5,963,557 shares are held by Employee Trusts and arediscounted for earnings per share calculation purposes. In addition to the above 25,000,000 ordinary shares are held as treasury sharesand are also discounted for earnings per share calculation purposes.
