Transaction in Own Shares

RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 5th March 2014, it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 149,274 Ordinary Shares at prices between €15.0674 and €18.8545 per Ordinary Share and at prices of £10.0359 and £12.9574 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 4,890,013 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 734,341,587.
