Diageo PLC15 March 2006 Diageo plc15 March 2006 Diageo plc ('the Company') announces that it has today purchased through GoldmanSachs International 825,000 ordinary shares at a price of 912.79 pence pershare. The purchased shares will be held in treasury for the purpose ofsatisfying options granted under the Company's employee share plans. Following the above purchase, the Company holds 204,487,111 ordinary shares astreasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding sharesheld as treasury shares) is 2,846,318,808.
