Imperial Tobacco has today, 6 December 2013, purchased 325,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 2289.65 pence per ordinary share. The highest price paid was 2299 pence per ordinary share and the lowest 2278 pence per ordinary share.

The purchased shares will all be held in treasury.

Following the above purchase, Imperial Tobacco holds 102,631,532 ordinary shares in treasury.

The total number of ordinary shares in issue, excluding ordinary shares held in treasury, is 965,311,349.
