McBride plc ("the Company") announces that on 30 March 2011 it purchased 50,000 ordinary shares in the Company at an average price of 141.0 pence per share. The Company will hold the shares in Treasury to meet options exercised under the McBride plc Savings Related Share Option Scheme to be exercised in 2012.

Lowest price paid: 141.0p

Following the purchase of these shares the Company holds 451,643 shares in Treasury and has a total of 180,588,858 ordinary shares (excluding treasury shares) in issue.
