Grainger PLC14 June 2007 Letter to: RNS Grainger plc: Transaction in own shares Grainger plc announces that it has today purchased through JP Morgan CazenoveLimited 250,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 595.16 pence per share.The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares and it is intended thatthe shares will be used to satisfy the requirements of the Group's employeeshare schemes. Following the above purchase, Grainger plc holds 250,000 ordinaryshares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue(excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 129,740,597.
