Howden Joinery Group Plc (the "Company") announces that on 11 April 2016 it purchased through Numis Securities Ltd the following number of its ordinary shares for cancellation at an average price of 462.97p per share:

Highest purchase price paid per share: | 467.00p |
Lowest purchase price paid per share: | 461.20p |
Following the above transaction, the Company has 636,601,973 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) and 10,828,842 ordinary shares in treasury.
