Purchase of own securities

On 2 December 2008, Reckitt Benckiser Group plc acquired from Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited, 37,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of ‚£26.1723 per ordinary share. These shares will be held as treasury shares.

Following the purchase and non-cancellation of these ordinary shares, the Company has:

1. 14,046,646 shares held as treasury shares ; and

2. 708,321,866 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares)
