Pennon Group PLC30 August 2007 Pennon Group Plc announces that it has today purchased through Credit Suisse(Securities) Europe Limited 82,500 ordinary shares at a price of 574.14 penceper share. The purchased shares will all be held in treasury. Following the above purchaseand non-cancellation of such equity shares, Pennon Group Plc will hold 5,386,763ordinary shares in treasury and a total of 349,777,511 ordinary shares will bein issue (excluding shares to be held in treasury).
