RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES 

CRH plc announces that on 18th November 2009 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 14,716 Ordinary Shares at prices between €11.8573 and €15.0674 and at prices of £8.7104 and £14.1386 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 13,150,381 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 697,335,539.
