Transaction in own shares
iomart Group plc, the managed hosting company, announces that, pursuant to the general authority granted by shareholders of the Company on 29 September 2008 to make market purchases of its own shares, the Company has on 20 January 2009 made a market purchase of 1,794,547 ordinary shares of 1p each at a price of 20 pence per share.
Following the purchase of these shares, the Company holds 3,294,547 of its own ordinary shares in treasury, and has 96,944,755 Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares).
Accordingly, the current issued share capital consists of 96,944,755 ordinary shares with voting rights. Shareholders may use this figure as the denominator for the calculations by which they determine whether they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
The Company will continue to purchase its own shares for treasury when appropriate and in accordance with the authority granted by its shareholders.
