Imperial Tobacco has today, 18 March 2014, purchased 75,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 2411.83 pence per ordinary share. The highest price paid was 2422 pence per ordinary share and the lowest 2401 pence per ordinary share.

The purchased shares will all be held in treasury.

Following the above purchase, Imperial Tobacco holds 74,075,990 ordinary shares in treasury.

The total number of ordinary shares in issue, excluding ordinary shares held in treasury, is 961,924,010.
