GUS PLC17 March 2005 GUS PLC: Transaction in Own Shares & Amendment to Previous Announcement GUS PLC announces that it has today purchased through Merrill Lynch 300,000ordinary shares at a price of 903.5645 pence per share. The purchased shareswill all be held as treasury shares. Following the above purchase, GUS PLC holds17,275,000 ordinary shares as treasury shares.
