Tate & Lyle PLC16 November 2007 Tate & Lyle PLC ("the Company") announces that on 16 November 2007 it purchasedfor cancellation through ABN AMRO Hoare Govett 600,000 ordinary shares at anaverage price of 430.37 pence per share. Following the purchase and upon cancellation of these shares, the total numberof ordinary shares in issue and the total voting rights in the Company will be476,252,831. The Company holds no ordinary shares in Treasury. The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for thecalculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify theirinterest in, or a change to their interest in, Tate & Lyle PLC under the FSA'sDisclosure and Transparency Rules.
