Transaction in own shares

ITE Group plc ("ITE")

On  16 September 2008,  ITE acquired 312,650 of its own ordinary shares of 1p each at a price of 143.398p  per share. These shares will be held in Treasury.

Following the purchase, ITE holds 3,704,024 of its ordinary shares in Treasury and has a total of  249,649,463 ordinary shares (excluding shares held in Treasury) in issue.
