Transaction in Own Shares 

Caledonia Investments plc ("Caledonia") announces that on 23 February 2009 it purchased 10,000 of its own ordinary shares of 5p each at a price of 1172p per share. These shares are to be held in treasury.

Following the purchase, Caledonia holds 512,229 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has a total of 58,282,552 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding treasury shares) in issue.
