NewMedia SPARK PLC02 March 2007 NewMedia SPARK plc 2 March 2007 Purchase of own shares NewMedia SPARK plc (the "Company") The Company announces that today it purchased 1,000,000 of its Ordinary Sharesof 2.5p at a price of 14.5p per share. These shares will be held in Treasury. This purchase equates to 0.24% of the Company's issued share capital. For the purposes of the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure andTransparency Rules, the Company's total issued share capital at the date of thisnotice is £11,818,393 consisting of 472,735,729 Ordinary shares of 2.5p of which57,390,949 are now held as Treasury shares. The total number of voting rights inthe Company is therefore 415,344,780. The above figure of 415,344,780 may be used by shareholders as the denominatorfor the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notifytheir interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company, under theDisclosure and Transparency Rules.
