SHARE REPURCHASE PROGRAMME
CRH plc announces that on 17th September 2008, UBS Limited purchased, on behalf of the Company, 145,826 Ordinary Shares of €0.32 each in CRH plc at prices between €17.06 and €17.822 per Ordinary Share. The purchased shares will be held as Treasury Shares. CRH plc also announces that on 17th September 2008 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 8,059 Ordinary Shares at €10.63 per Ordinary Share and at prices between £7.18 and £12.38 per Ordinary Share. Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 15,924,606 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 532,195,830. Contact
