The Company announces that on 13 September 2017 it purchased 187,097 of its ordinary shares of 5p each ("Shares") through UBS, in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 6 September 2017.

Highest price paid per Share: 3560p

Lowest price paid per Share: 3506p

Volume weighted average price paid per Share: 3545.8632p

The Company intends to hold the purchased Shares in Treasury.

Following the purchase of these Shares, the Company holds 4,453,358 of its Shares in Treasury and has 135,703,825 Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares). This is the figure which should be used by shareholders as the denominator when determining whether they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
