Enterprise Inns PLC30 July 2007 30 July 2007 Enterprise Inns plc - Transaction in Own Shares Enterprise Inns plc announces that it has today purchased for cancellation 1,000,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 662.90 pence per ordinaryshare. The highest price paid was 665.00 pence per share and the lowest price paid was658.50 pence per share. Following the above purchase the total number of ordinary shares in issue andthe total voting rights in the Company (excluding shares held in treasury) is523,415,607. Of these 10,776,223 shares are held by Employee Trusts and arediscounted for earnings per share calculation purposes. In addition to the above 50,000,000 ordinary shares are held as treasury sharesand are also discounted for earnings per share calculation purposes.
