Hammerson PLC17 September 2007 Hammerson Plc Transaction in own shares The Company purchased for cancellation through Citigroup Global Markets Limitedon 14 September 2007 750,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 1164.25pence per share. The highest price paid was 1,181.5 pence per share and thelowest price paid was 1,155 pence per share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. Hammerson Plc ("Hammerson") currently holds 750,000 ordinary shares in treasury, and followingthe purchase of these shares Hammerson's share capital consists of 289,825,217ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding treasury shares).
