Old Mutual PLC28 December 2007 Old Mutual Ref 109/07 28 December 2007 TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES - PROHIBITED PERIOD SHARE REPURCHASE PROGRAMME Old Mutual plc ("Old Mutual") announces that it has entered into an irrevocable,non-discretionary arrangement to purchase shares on the London Stock Exchange onits own behalf for holding in Treasury during its prohibited period, whichcommences on 1 January 2008 and ends on the date of publication of Old Mutual'spreliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2007, which is expected totake place on 27 February 2008.
