Transaction in Own Shares

 

The Company announces that on 26 March 2009 it purchased 22,261 of its ordinary shares at a price of 679.28 pence per share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. 

 

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 9,311,828 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 279,214,037.
