Burberry Group PLC30 September 2005 "Burberry Group plc ('Burberry')Close Period Share Repurchase Programme Burberry announces today that it has given its brokers an irrevocable,non-discretionary authority, approved by the UKLA, to purchase Burberry OrdinaryShares ('Burberry Shares') on its own behalf, for cancellation during its closeperiod between 12th October 2005 when Burberry will release its trading updateand the release of Burberry's interim results on 15 November 2005. Any acquisitions will be effected within certain pre-set parameters, and inaccordance with both Burberry's general authority to repurchase Burberry Sharesand Chapter 12 of the Listing Rules, which required that the maximum price paidbe limited to no more then 105 per cent of the average middle market closingprice of Burberry Shares for the five dealing days preceding the date ofpurchase."
