Transaction in Own Shares

Central Asia Metals plc (AIM:CAML), announces that on 23 July 2012 it purchased 48,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 90.9007 pence per ordinary share. The highest price and the lowest price paid for these shares was 91.00 and 88.50 pence respectively. All the purchased shares will be held as Treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 324,798 ordinary shares as Treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue is 85,841,136 (excluding ordinary shares held as treasury shares).
