Enterprise Inns PLC09 January 2008 09 January 2008 Enterprise Inns plc - Transaction in Own Shares Enterprise Inns plc (the 'Company') announces that it has today purchased forcancellation 500,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 403.5694pence per ordinary share. The highest price paid was 413 pence per share and thelowest price paid was 395.5 pence per share. Following the above purchase the total number of ordinary shares in issue andthe total voting rights in the Company (excluding shares held in treasury) is505,977,435. Of these 9,773,363 shares are held by Employee Trusts and are discounted forearnings per share calculation purposes. In addition to the above 50,000,000 ordinary shares are held as treasury sharesand are also discounted for earnings per share calculation purposes.
