Pennon Group PLC28 August 2007 Pennon Group Plc announces that it has today purchased through Credit Suisse(Securities) Europe Limited 240,000 ordinary shares at a price of 556.96 penceper share. The purchased shares will all be held in treasury. Following the above purchaseand non-cancellation of such equity shares, Pennon Group Plc will hold 5,192,263ordinary shares in treasury and a total of 349,972,011 ordinary shares will bein issue (excluding shares to be held in treasury).
