Imperial Tobacco has today, 14 February 2014, purchased 85,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 2314.88 pence per ordinary share. The highest price paid was 2348 pence per ordinary share and the lowest 2299 pence per ordinary share.

The purchased shares will all be held in treasury.

Following the above purchase, Imperial Tobacco holds 104,453,871 ordinary shares in treasury.

The total number of ordinary shares in issue, excluding ordinary shares held in treasury, is 963,489,010.
