Purchase of own securities

Imperial Tobacco has today, 10 April 2014, purchased 100,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 2462.08 pence per ordinary share. The highest price paid was 2475 pence per ordinary share and the lowest 2433 pence per ordinary share.

The purchased shares will all be held in treasury.

Following the above purchase, Imperial Tobacco holds 75,891,111 ordinary shares in treasury.

The total number of ordinary shares in issue, excluding ordinary shares held in treasury, is 960,108,889.
