24 January 2006 FirstGroup plc Buyback of 800,000 ordinary shares FirstGroup plc ("the Company") announces that on 24 January 2006 it purchased800,000 ordinary shares of 5p each at an average price of 406.9942 pence pershare. The highest price paid was 407 pence per share.
