Burberry Group PLC30 March 2005 BURBERRY GROUP PLC: Transaction in Own Shares Burberry Group plc ("the Company") announces that on 30 March 2005 it purchased290,010 of its ordinary shares of 0.05p each ("Shares") for cancellation. Ofthese Shares, 100,000 were purchased on-market from Merrill Lynch at a price of406.5 pence per Share and 190,010 were purchased off-market directly from GUSHoldings Limited also at a price of 406.5 pence per Share in accordance with theAgreement dated 20 December 2004 between the Company and GUS plc approved by theCompany's shareholders on 20 December 2004.
