BP PLC03 January 2008 BP p.l.c. - Transaction in Own SharesBP p.l.c. - 3 January 2008 BP p.l.c. announces that on 2 January 2008, it purchased for cancellation652,000 ordinary shares at prices between 612.00 pence and 623.50 pence pershare. BP p.l.c. also announces that on 2 January 2008 it transferred to participantsin its employee share schemes 34,346 ordinary shares at prices between 350.00pence and 500.00 pence. These shares were previously held as treasury shares.
