REPURCHASE OF SHARES IN ASTRAZENECA PLC
Further to the announcement of its irrevocable, non-discretionary share repurchase programme for the period 5 March 2012 to 11 May 2012, AstraZeneca PLC announced that under the terms of that programme it purchased for cancellation 305,856 ordinary shares of AstraZeneca PLC at a price of 2782 pence per share on 11 April 2012. Upon the cancellation of these shares, the number of shares in issue will be 1,272,690,629.
