TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES
Close Brothers Group plc announces that it has today purchased 100,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 585.58 pence. The highest and lowest price paid for these shares were 590 pence and 573 pence respectively. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares for the purpose of satisfying option grants and share awards made under the Company's employee share plans.
Following the purchase of these shares, Close Brothers Group plc holds 3,463,375 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 145,919,549 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
