Enterprise Inns PLC10 January 2007 10 January 2007 Enterprise Inns plc - Transaction in Own Shares Enterprise Inns plc announces that it has today purchased for cancellation200,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 1308.1967 pence perordinary share. The highest price paid was 1318.40 pence per share and the lowest price paid was1297 pence per share. Following the above purchase the total number of ordinary shares in issue andthe total voting rights (pursuant to transitional provision 6 of theTransparency Directive) in the Company (excluding shares held in treasury) is291,392,122. Of these 5,944,317 shares are held by Employee Trusts and arediscounted for earnings per share calculation purposes. In addition to the above 25,000,000 ordinary shares are held as treasury sharesand are also discounted for earnings per share calculation purposes.
