TRANSFER OF SHARES FROM TREASURY AND ALLOTMENTS

HAMILTON, Bermuda; Hiscox Ltd ("Hiscox") announces today that it has transferred 4,523,173 ordinary shares of 5p each, which were previously held as treasury shares, to satisfy awards under the Hiscox Performance Share Plan previously approved by shareholders.

These shares will rank pari passu with the existing class of Ordinary 5p shares in issue.

Following the above transactions, Hiscox holds 28,142,874 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 373,239,253 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
