TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES

Record plc ("Record" or the "Company"), the specialist currency manager, announces that the Company yesterday acquired 22,326,475 Ordinary Shares of 0.025 pence each in the Company at £0.44790 per Ordinary Share pursuant to the Tender Offer. All Ordinary Shares purchased will be cancelled.

Following the above purchase and cancellation, the Company's issued ordinary share capital will consist of 199,054,325 shares, of which no shares are held in treasury. Therefore the total number of Ordinary Shares with voting rights in Record will be 199,054,325 shares.

The above figure of 199,054,325 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Record under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
