Old Mutual PLC25 October 2007 Old Mutual plc Ref 69/07 25 October 2007 Transaction in Own Shares Old Mutual plc ("the Company") announces that on 24 October 2007 it purchasedthrough Merrill Lynch International and Merrill Lynch South Africa (Pty) Limiteda total of 3,365,630 of the Company's ordinary shares of 10p each. 1,865,630 of these shares were acquired on the London Stock Exchange at anaverage price of 172.02 pence per share and 1,500,000 shares were acquired onthe JSE Limited at an average price of ZAR 23.55 per share. The purchased shares will be held in treasury. The Company's current issuedshare capital is now 5,482,359,123 ordinary shares of 10p each (excluding the26,323,401 shares that have so far been repurchased into treasury).
